The outside plate has a 5 1/2 in. diameter, while the inside backing plate measures 4 1/2 in. Eddie Marine standard engine flushing kits are for the budget-minded. The function is the same as the Deluxe kit, but these standard kits utilize a simple chrome brass deck mount for the hose connection. They will shut off the water flow to your water pickup or sterndrive, when installed in your main water line, allowing the engines to be flushed with fresh water from the externally mounted hose connection. With the valve opened, your sterndrive can also be "back flushed". Eddie Marine forward-reverse relay boxes are replacements for their trim tabs and can also be used with hatch actuators. By incorporating one of these boxes, the possibility of voltage drop will be eliminated and the actuator will be supplied with a full 12 volts of current at all times, regardless of the length and age of the power supply wires. The boxes contain two relays encapsulated in epoxy for corrosion resistance—and they also allow the use of a single-pole switch to operate reverse polarity actuators, as well as accommodate two actuators simultaneously. Unlike other cleats, these incorporate a 1/2 in. quick-release pin and are flush with the deck when not in use.
