On certain Ford trucks and vans, the original equipment studs connecting the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold flange can typically rust and break, and removal can be difficult, but Dorman has an OE FIX. Their exhaust flange repair kits offer a cost-effective, faster, and much simpler way to securely reconnect the converter and flange using ordinary hand tools, and without drilling, heating, or welding. Dorman exhaust manifold flange repair kits contain a pair of sturdy stainless steel brackets designed to fit over the broken stud sections on the manifold flange, and feature an integrated threaded stud that slides through the catalytic converter mounting holes. Just push the threaded end of each bracket through the catalytic converter mounting holes, place the contoured side of each bracket against the exhaust flange and around the headless broken studs of the exhaust flange, and secure the connection with the included stainless steel nuts.
