If you're running a single fan on your Corvette's stock radiator, then it's time to upgrade to DeWitt's aluminum electric dual Spal fan kits. These cooling systems are designed to move a massive amount of air when needed—the fan speed increases as temperatures rise. At the programmed upper threshold temperature, the primary fan speed reaches 100 percent and the secondary fan kicks in to help. As the temperature drops down, the secondary fan cycles off, and the primary slows, giving you a constant cooling temperature. You get uncompromised cooling under all driving conditions.

Control the airflow through your radiator with DeWitts shroud flaps. They push open at speed when the fan is not in use and allow air to flow out of the shroud freely. When the fan is needed, these flaps suck shut--sealing off the shroud, allowing the fan to pull air through the radiator evenly. They are great additions to any shroud that may have an excess area where air can get trapped, providing a damper to ensure both sides of the radiator are similar. DeWitts flaps are injection-molded from a thermoplastic elastomer which provides a tight seal, aiding the fan for increased airflow across the core. They feature the DeWitts crossed flag logo. Flaps are easily mounted by drilling 1/8 in. holes for the tapered locking pins and square or circle exhaust holes behind the flap. This could be two 1.25 in. holes or a 1.75 in. x 1.25 in. square.
