Detroit Speed mini-tubs are inner wheel housings designed to accommodate wider tire and wheel packages. They are designed for a perfect fit and to retain a stock appearance. They are available as a 100 percent bolt-on system or with a small amount of fabrication required for a competition coilover option that allows faster spring changes. The system features "Detroit Tuned" quick ratio power rack and pinion steering along with forged Detroit Speed aluminum uprights. The bolt-on powdercoated cradle assembly improves suspension geometry, provides rigid mounting for the rack and pinion, and includes integrated tie down eyelets. DSE/JRi "Detroit Tuned" coilover shocks/springs allow for spring rate tuning and ride height adjustment. Detroit Speed weld-on subframe connectors join your front subframe and rear frame rails to increase your car's stiffness. These uniquely designed DSE connectors are fabricated from thick-wall rectangular steel tubing. They are bent and TIG-welded in a fixture for accuracy and repeatability. Unlike others, these DSE subframe connectors are barely visible from underneath the car, offering maximum ground clearance. Plus, they won't interfere with seat attachment hardware or the installation and removal of the rear leaf spring pocket. And, your molded factory carpet will still fit over the subframe connectors.
