Detroit Speed offers Bilstein OEM replacement shocks for a wide range of vehicles, including many Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, and Oldsmobile cars and trucks from the 1970s and '80s. They're available individually for both the front and rear. These patch panels are stamped from 18-gauge steel and can be bolted or welded in place. Detroit Speed rear upper shock crossmembers are used when relocating the upper shock mounts inside of the frame rails when installing mini tubs. They are positioned between the rear wheel tubs and should be mounted through the trunk floor pan to provide additional shock travel when ride height is lower than stock. Faulty suspension operation? The problem could lie in your shock mounts, causing the shock absorbers to malfunction. If that's the case, make an upgrade with Detroit Speed's mini-tub lower shock plates! These plates come in an electroplate finish and work great when mini-tubbing the rear of your vehicle for larger rear tires. Because mini-tub plates do not have the same bolt pattern as stock sprint plates found on most axle housings, they can be used with Detroit Speed's adjustable leaf spring pads and U-bolts (sold separately). These mini-tub lower shock plates are available in either staggered inboard, staggered outboard, or for shocks on the same side of the rear axle.
