DEI safety wire is 2mm wire that comes on a 6.5 ft. roll and is designed to secure fasteners, such as nuts, bolts, and exhaust components, preventing them from loosening due to high vibration and heat. The stainless steel material resists weakening from intense heat, making it suitable for exhaust systems and under-hood applications. Using this safety wire ensures that if a fastener begins to loosen, the wire tightens, keeping the fastener in place. This positive locking device is primarily used in automotive performance, racing, and engine bay applications to ensure safety and prevent failure.
