Delphi throttle position sensors are designed to sense throttle movement and change of position. They also regulate various engine and vehicle operations, including spark timing, air and fuel ratio, torque converter lockup, air conditioning, and idle speeds. With that said, throttle position sensors are an important component, and if your existing sensor seems to have gone bad, just swap it out for a new one from Delphi.
