Daytona Twin Tec TC88A Plug-In Ignition Modules

Improved overall gasoline economy is just one of the most significant features of the Daytona Twin Tec TC88A plug-In ignition modules. They'll slow the advance curve way down from stock and will prevent engine lag at various rpm, including idle, accelerate much more smoothly, and pull more than it ever did under mild to heavy throttle when you are pumping the motor. You can digitally set the timing range and fully support a J1850 data bus, used for communications with the instrument cluster and turn signal/security module (TSM/TSSM). Daytona Twin Tec VT-I Ignition Systems

The Daytona Twin Tec VT-I ignition systems include a special trigger rotor for use with a traditional mechanical advance mechanism. Then, a Hall Effect sensor detects the teeth on this special trigger rotor and provides very stable spark timing. A rotary switch is used for a precise, digital RPM limiter that can be set from 5,200 to 7,000 rpm in 200 rpm increments. This system also has a red status LED that allows easy static timing. The VT-I is compatible with most original equipment and aftermarket dual fire ignition coils and has a simple 2- wire hookup to the coil. Electronic dwell control provides maximum ignition energy at high RPM—and reduced current draw at low RPM. The unit operates down to below 6 V for reliable starting under all conditions, including kick start. VT-I utilizes fully encapsulated construction with surface-mount electronics. The unit is waterproof and highly resistant to vibration and shock. Electronic components also include over-temperature protection and are rated to operate up to 260 degrees F (125 degrees C).

Daytona Twin Tec High Output Single Fire Coils

Single fire ignitions eliminate many Harley® backfire problems and enhance idle quality. Daytona Twin Tec high output single fire coils use separate coil windings to fire each spark plug independently, only on the compression stroke. Conversion of older carbureted Harley-Davidson® engines to single fire is highly recommended—there is no downside. Daytona Twin Tec single fire coils install easily. For most applications they fit stock brackets and covers. They are compatible with Daytona Twin Tec and most aftermarket ignitions.

Single fire ignitions eliminate many Harley® backfire problems and enhance idle quality. Daytona Twin Tec mini coil kits include two miniature coils and universal spark plug wires to independently fire each spark plug, only on the compression stroke. They are intended for custom motorcycles where space is at a premium and single fire is required for maximum performance. Mini coil kits feature 3-ohm primary resistance and are compatible with most aftermarket single fire ignitions and Daytona Twin Tec models 1005-1007. Overall dimensions: 2.4 in. x 2.3 in. x 1.6 in.
