Davis Unified Ignition Marine Performance D.U.I. Distributors
Ahoy! If you're looking for a simple, powerful solution for high performance boating, then these Davis Unified Ignition marine D.U.I. distributors from Performance Distributors are the answer. These virtually waterproof and vibration-proof distributors are easy drop-in units with one-wire hookup. There are no wiring hazards to leave you adrift and no hassles! The electronic Dyna-Module and high-voltage coil are built inside of the distributors and produce a longer spark duration, allowing you to widen your plug gap and get a more complete fuel burn. Marine D.U.I. distributors are available in performance versions that crank up to 7,000 rpm and racing versions at 10,000 rpm. D.U.I. distributors are calibrated by machine to dial-in the smoothest advance curve for your application. They are hand-assembled, polished, lubed, and checked for exact tolerances, and the housings are drilled with flame arrestor holes. Now you can set your rpm limit exactly where your engine needs it! Performance Distributors D.U.I. marine rev limiters drop one cylinder at a time very smoothly, and thus preventing fuel from loading up on the plugs. This also helps to avoid backfires and damage to the engine. Performance Distributors D.U.I. marine version rev limiters include 5,000, 5,200, and 5,500 rpm modules.
