Dart Freeze Plugs
Durable steel freeze plugs from Dart work like expansion plugs. As we all know, water expands when it turns to ice, and if the coolant in your vehicle doesn't have enough antifreeze protection, it can freeze and then crack the engine block. Dart freeze plugs are designed to pop out under such conditions to relieve the pressure on the block, thus protecting it against freeze damage.

Dart SHP Block Part Kits
Dart SHP block part kits are specialized hardware assortments designed for small block Ford Generation 2 Special High Performance (SHP) blocks. Kits include essential components needed to complete the engine block assembly, such as coated camshaft bearings, brass freeze plugs, dowel pins, and pipe plugs. These parts are designed for high performance street/strip builds, often required when assembling or freshening up a Dart SHP cast iron block. The hardware ensures proper fitment with Dart's proprietary SHB block machining.

Dart Cam Bearings
If you're building up a Dart block and want the best bearings with the correct sizing, then you'll want Dart cam bearings. They're fully grooved, made from steel-backed babbit, and specifically designed for high performance use. To all of this, Dart adds their own moly-PTFE coating for even better performance and durability. This coating is approximately 0.0005 in. thick, which translates into 0.001 in. less overall clearance.

So, when you want more than stock blocks can provide, the strong reliable design and plentiful features of Dart SHP special high performance Ford engine blocks offer the perfect base foundation to start your build. Key features of SHP small block Ford bare blocks are: * Brand new precision machined cast iron block * Scalloped outer water jacket walls improve coolant flow around the cylinder barrels to equalize temperatures * Priority main oiling system directs oil to the main bearings first for more dependable lubrication * Available with 302 (8.200 in.) deck height or 351 (9.500 in.) * Provisions for OE roller lifters, dog bones and spider * Siamese bores 4.000 in. or 4.125 in.
