Competition Engineering Bolt-In Race Harness Mounting Plates
Competition Engineering's bolt-in race harness mounting plates are designed to be installed on the outside of the floor pan or transmission tunnel to create a strong, reinforced point that an anti-submarine belt and/or lap belt can be bolted to. The mounting plates are made of thick 12-gauge steel and need to be welded in place and includes bolt and spacer to allow the harnesses bolt-in hardware to be raised off the floor or tunnel for proper belt positioning. Once a 1/2 in. diameter hole is drilled into the floor pan or tunnel for the anti-submarine belt and/or lap belt, the mounting plate is positioned so the plate's included hardware can be tightened. The harness mounting plate needs to be installed as per your sanctioning body rules.

Competition Engineering tie-down hooks are constructed out of 1/4 in. thick steel with a zinc finish. Sold in pairs, these hooks are available flat or bent in 45 or 90 degree angles with 1.5 in. openings to accept standard race car tie-down straps. They are also designed with 11/16 in. (17.5mm) mounting holes to accommodate most factory shock and suspension bolts, if you prefer not to weld them on.
