COMP Cams XFI NSR Camshafts for Ford 4.6L/5.4L modular 3-valve engines are the first truly "drop-in installation" camshafts ever created for this popular application – striking the perfect balance of performance versus installation difficulty. An excellent alternative to the regular COMP Cams Xtreme Energy Ford Modular camshafts, these 2-staged cam sets require no computer re-tuning; however testing has shown that mild tuning can result in power gains even greater than the normal 25 rear wheel horsepower. COMP Cams shaft mount aluminum rocker arms are one of the most cost-effective ways to increase horsepower. These shaft rockers were designed using the latest in computer software and engineering. They center the roller tip over the valve tip at the correct time so that the roller tip is never more than 0.020 in. off-center of the valve tip. At the greatest load point, the roller tip contact is on the center of the valve. At valve closing, the roller tip contact is slightly behind the valve centerline. When the valve is at full open, the tip contact is slightly behind the centerline of the valve. The results are more horsepower and better performance.

The new Hemi engines from Chrysler are great power plants straight from the factory, with technology that allows the camshafts to move in real time. Instead of scrapping this advanced system, COMP Cams has embraced it with a new line of aftermarket Hemi-specific cams. The patent-pending Hemi phaser camshafts work with phaser limiters or locks to fully utilize Chrysler's Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology, which allows them to pick up torque in the low end of the engine, while maintaining power up high. Made from a billet core, these hydraulic roller cams are engineered tough enough to handle 5.7L and 6.4L Hemi street/strip engines.
