They're available in both needle-bearing and bushing configurations. Each design features two pressurized EDM oil feeds, as well as an edge-orifice feed to the wheel. This delivers a more reliable oil feed than most competing options. COMP Cams Sportsman solid roller lifters are also designed with a shallower oil band than competitors' versions for increased strength and rigidity, while internal machining helps to reduce weight. Even with a thrust button, most stock stamped front covers flex under pressure, causing erratic ignition timing. These covers feature a rigid billet aluminum design that is strong enough to eliminate this flexing problem, hold your cam in place, and keep your timing in control. Endplay adjustment is made easy thanks to an access hole for the dial indicator. COMP Cams camshaft phaser limiter kits are specially designed, computer-controlled cam gears that automatically optimize camshaft timing based on the current engine rpm. The engine oil is pressure fed to the phasers through passageways in the cylinder heads and cams.
