COMP Cams oil pump primer tools allow the oil pump to be primed and the engine prelubed prior to initial start up. This eliminates the chance of a "dry start" and premature engine damage. COMP Cams primers drop in place of the distributor, and with the use of a drill, spin the oil pump to supply oil to critical engine components. Both models feature a top alignment collar and the Chevrolet model includes a bushing to pressurize the upper valve train too.

COMP Cams camshaft lobe center marking tools are constructed of aluminum and include three sizes to cover all common lifter bore diameters. With these tools, the user marks the cam lobe with a type of marking fluid, installs the cam, and then places the tool in the lifter bore. Next, the cam is turned over to mark a line around the cam lobe. The cam is then removed, and the distance from the edge of the lobe is measured. Finally, shims are changed to achieve the correct lobe-to-lifter alignment. The kits include marking tools for .842 in., .875 in., and .904 in. lifter bore diameters. Each part has 1/4-20 threads for the bolt in the top.

COMP Cams lobe indicator tools are designed to measure lobe lift and base circle runout with a dial indicator (sold separately). They slide down into the lifter bore and are held there firmly with a built-in O-ring. The tools include a follower for solid and hydraulic flat tappet cams and one for roller cams. COMP Cams offers a complete line of valve seals, from the stock GM O-rings to the positive-stop PTFE seals. They are a must to keep unwanted oil from entering the combustion chamber through the clearance in the valve guides. The O-ring seals use the standard retainer and oil splash shield. The umbrella seals are normally used when a larger-than-stock diameter spring is used. In the case of a double spring, the positive stop PTFE seals are used. For triple-spring applications, use the smaller-diameter Viton® seals.
