Cometic MLS Head Gaskets
Cometic MLS head gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel for additional strength over traditional gaskets. They contain load-controlled embossments that help conform load distribution across the sealing area, and where applicable, valve pocketing to avoid chamber intrusion. This creates an exceptional seal by requiring less clamp load and resulting in less bore distortion. The stainless-steel outer layers utilize a rubber-binder coating that features high-temperature and chemical-resistant polymers. These gaskets are available for most cylinder heads. As with all Cometic MLS head gaskets, no sealants or re-torque is required when properly installed on prepared surfaces. Cometic Gasket Top-End Gasket Kits
Cometic Gasket top-end gasket kits contain the most technologically advanced materials available to ensure a critical seal and superior durability. These Cometic Gasket top-end gasket kits come complete with a head gasket, a base gasket, and designated kits include reed, power valve, and exhaust gaskets. Cometic graphite head gaskets are manufactured from non-asbestos, flexible graphite laminated to a stainless steel core, which is impervious to fuels, coolants, and oils.

Cometic Gasket EST (Extreme Sealing Technology) top-end gasket kits contain the most technologically advanced materials available to ensure a critical seal and superior durability that meet and exceed OE specifications. These Cometic Gasket EST top-end gasket kits are complete with a head gasket, a base gasket, and designated kits include reed, power valve, and exhaust gaskets. Cometic multi-layer steel head gaskets are comprised of two embossed Viton® coated stainless steel outer layers and a variable stainless center layer. The base gaskets are Viton® coated rubber with a steel core. Some of these kits include engine cover gaskets made from AFM material--a nitrile synthetic rubber that is bonded to an aluminum core.
