Chevrolet Performance ZZ6 350 C.I.D. Base Crate Engines
Meet the newest member of the iconic 350-based ZZ engine family—ZZ6! Chevrolet Performance has rated these base crates to really deliver the power, thanks in part to their unique, lightweight aluminum cylinder heads that enable optimal airflow at high rpm. The engines are based on the proven Fast Burn design with large intake runners and valves. Along with their beehive-style valve springs that offer high-rpm efficiency and durability, the ZZ6 blocks make the most of every cubic inch of air drawn through them. Supporting the massive flow of air is an aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft and a forged steel crankshaft. The ZZ6 350 c.i.d. base crate engine kit includes intake manifold, distributor, water pump, damper, flexplate, and the distinctive, race-inspired valve covers. You can now get modern street performance in a classic small block package by installing a Chevrolet Performance SP350 385 HP turn-key crate engine. They put out 385 HP and 405 lbs.-ft. of torque for a thrilling feeling of immediate performance. The long block crate engines feature new lightweight aluminum cylinder heads based on the proven Fast Burn design—with large intake runners, and 2 in. diameter intake and 1.55 in. exhaust valves. New beehive-style valve springs enable greater high-rpm performance and durability—as the egg-shaped springs have less reciprocating mass in motion, require less spring pressure for greater valve control, and handle valvetrain stresses more efficiently.
