Caspers Electronics complete 86/87 engine wiring harnesses are 100 percent electronically inspected and designed to work exactly like your original harness—only better! These Caspers exclusive harnesses are OEM designs with modern-day improvements, like better wire routing, sealed automotive spec relays, separate positive feeds through the harness, and a factory fit and finish.

Features and benefits:

* Uses correct color-coded automotive-grade TXL oxygen-free copper wire throughout
* All color coding conforms to OEM specifications. Tracers were added in certain wiring to
correctly identify during build
* All connectors used are GM factory-specified OEM connectors
* Five fuse links are installed (original design used only three fuse links, two shared)
* The harnesses use individual ground wires for every electrical ground in the harness (no
internal splices) to assist in the electrical integrity of the grounds
* Grounds are extended to allow placement on intake bolt instead of bell housing bolts
* Hard plastic wiring channel that is located under coil pack has been eliminated and replaced with round conduit
* Most of the taping has been replaced with hard plastic conduit clips to eliminate unravelling
* Extensive under-taping is applied to the wiring bundles for build integrity
* All internal splices are ultrasonically welded for improved connection integrity
* Several connections have been lengthened to improve fit over OEM harness
* New design oval conduit clips are supplied, produced with improved material
* Plated metal clips are supplied to facilitate installation
* All relays have been replaced with 21st century automotive sealed relays
* Fan delay relay has been eliminated to address electrical reliability issues inherent in its
design
