One of the key fuel injection components of the 7.3L and 6.0L engines is the BD Diesel High-Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP). They're also a common replacement part when dealing with low oil pressure problems—which can result in poor fuel atomization, loss of power, excessive smoke levels and/or loss of economy.
