Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 youth helmets from Alpinestars MX are optimized for motocross, Enduro and off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort. The youth medium (YM) and youth large (YL) helmet sizes share the same EPS size, which allows riders with a 'YM' size to initially buy a 'YM' helmet, and then configure it to a youth large size as they grow via the crown and cheek pad spare parts. The youth small (YS) helmets have a smaller EPS size and can be customized only via the cheek pads—Alpinestars extensive research has shown that the kids that wear an 'YS' size helmet are very small, typically 3 to 4 years old, and therefore they require a dedicated helmet fit. Instilling a safety-first mindset is crucial for young riders, Alpinestars MX offers motocross safety gear to support your child's journey and understands the sport's demands. The SM3 youth helmets are available in a variety of styles, in solid colors or with graphic designs displaying Alpinestars MX logos. Key features of the youth helmet: * Helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness that is engineered to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight * Separate versions of the shells for DOT and ECE requirements; the DOT certified version of the helmet's inner shell is constructed with a composite fiber assembled between the outer shell and the EPS liner for maximum protection against impacts—the SM3 helmet conforms to both DOT certification and ECE 2206 homologation for use worldwide * The fit can be tailored to the rider's head thanks to the helmet's crown and cheek pads, which are available as spare parts in different thicknesses * Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads to permit the safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while the 3D contoured foam ensures rider comfort * Stainless steel D-rings ensure a tight and secure fit * Multiple density inner liner ensures the helmet is equipped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption, while also helping to reduce overall weight * Inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts * Maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange, thanks to ten inlets and seven exhaust ports * The visor has been designed to direct air into the ports for enhanced airflow * Patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider's neck during an impact * Comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint * Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet's cheek pads for convenience and performance (hydration system sold separately) * Soft textile chin strap is 25mm for optimal safety and rider comfort

Alpinestars MX youth neck supports are specially designed for youth or smaller framed riders. The youth neck supports function when the helmet and support frame provide an alternative load path for the excessive energy that compresses the neck. Ultra-lightweight EVA foam on the support's underside provides comfort and positioning and distributes the impact force over the widest possible area. The frame is ergonomically engineered to promote contact with the helmet during impact, including rear support edge that fits closer to the body and raised chest to avoid hyper-flexion injuries, thus, providing a solid surface to instantly channel compressive impact energy away from the neck and on to the support. Designed for youth riders with smaller feet, these boots offer support and security built into the internal and external structure of the boot. This support reduces the lateral flex and the risk of hyper extension. The sole of the boot provides optimal durability, grip, and feel while an anti-bacterial innersole is used for additional support and comfort.
