Advance Adapters transmission mount crossmember kits are designed to bolt to the back of the transmission and then be bolted in between the frame rails. They're manufactured from durable steel and include all necessary mounting hardware. Some stock transfer case linkages may interfere with one set of mounting holes on this support; in this case, you may be required to cut a section on the mount off.

Advance Adapters NV3550 crossmember kits are designed to bolt to the NV3550 transmission and allow you to retain the stock Peugeot muffler support and rubber mount. The plate offsets the Peugeot rubber mount forward from the NV3550 mount holes to line the rubber mount with the stock slots in the crossmember. The stock slots in the crossmember support may need to be elongated slightly.

Advance Adapters tie rod ends are stock replacements that they utilize in their Saginaw steering conversions, but they are also sold separately. The taper matches the steering knuckles of early CJ's and Advance Adapter pitman arms, both power and manual. They are also available with a center drag link socket to fit 1966-73 Jeepster Commando models with rear-mounted steering gears and Forward Control FC-170 models with front-mounted steering gears.

The steering shaft assembly connects directly to our steering spud shaft. This collapsible slip steering shaft extends to the firewall and can be adjusted to any length. With a 3/4 in. DD connection (round shaft having 2 flat surfaces), it is easily coupled to any of the yokes supplied in the kit or listed under the Custom Steering Column subheading. These kits require welding on the steering box mounting plate, frame enclosures, and firewall mounting plate.
