When installing a new transmission, a new crossmember is mandatory. Advance Adapters offer two types of crossmember designs. The most popular design bolts on the back of the stock transfer case. There is a 6-bolt cover that must be removed and one of these new crossmembers bolted in its place. These crossmembers extend to the inner frame rails. They are supported by L-brackets that must be welded to the frame rail. These components are insulated on rubber cushions. These crossmembers are recommended for use with all transfer case adapters, except when using a TH-350, 700R, or TH-400.
