Ford Performance Parts cast aluminum valve covers for small block and big block V8 engines come in both stock and tall configurations and are available in a wide range of finishes. Whether you are running a 302-based pushrod powerplant or a modular Coyote engine, there is a Ford cover to fit your needs. Here are some of your options:

• Aluminum Valve Covers—From the Boss 302, to the 351, to the big block 460, these valve covers are designed to fit a variety of non-EFI Ford pushrod engines. Choose from smooth, finned, and pentroof designs, available in polished, satin black, and powdercoated finishes. An array of Ford, Cobra, and Mustang logos are offered for added customization.

• EFI Valve Covers—Add some flare to your engine with a unique selection of valve covers specially designed to clear EFI intake manifolds. Like their non-EFI counterparts, these aluminum valve covers are available in a variety of different styles and finishes.

• 4.6/5.4L 3-Valve Cam Covers—Late-model Ford engines need love, too. Made from cast aluminum and available in different powdercoated finishes, Ford Performance Parts 4.6/5.4L 3-valve cam covers bolt directly onto your late model Ford 4.6/5.4L V8 engine. Each includes cam cover gaskets, VCT solenoid grommet, and fasteners.

• 5.0L/5.2L Aluminum Valve Covers—When you’re running with a lot of horsepower, you need valve covers that can take the heat. Designed to fit 2011-17 5.0L and 2015-19 5.2L engines, these aluminum valve covers feature foil tap along the cylinder head mating surface that allows much greater dissipation and protection from exhaust manifold heat. Please note that using this engine in an F-150 build will require Ford’s Coyote cam cover ball stud kit for coil cover installation.

• Circle Track Valve Covers—Ford Performance Parts circle track valve covers are designed for use on Ford’s 347 and 374 C.I.D. sealed racing engines. One of the most noticeable features of these covers are the breather stacks, which have been moved to the front for air box clearance and welded on to prevent oil leaks. Inside, the breather stack oil control baffle also is welded in for durability.

SHOULD I CHOOSE STOCK OR TALL VALVE COVERS?

When choosing which Ford Performance Parts valve covers are right for you, one thing you will need to determine is your valve cover height. Covers come either in stock (“short”) or “tall” configurations.

The difference is pretty much as straightforward as it sounds. Tall valve covers have added clearance over stock covers, so if your plan is to use a stud girdle or upgrade to a high-lift camshaft, full roller rockers, or shaft mount rockers, tall covers are the best choice.
