EMPI Extra Capacity Oil Sumps
EMPI extra capacity oil sumps increase oil capacity by 1.5 to 3.5 quarts, which prevents engine oil starvation, improves cooling due to their finned design, and extends oil life. These benefits are particularly advantageous for engines used in high-stress applications like off-road and performance vehicles. The cast, finned design of the sump increases the surface area, allowing oil to dissipate heat more effectively and keeping engine temperatures stable. Better cooling and a larger volume of oil can lead to longer intervals between oil changes, as the oil experiences less thermal breakdown. Kits typically come complete with all necessary hardware, including multiple sizes of pickup tubes to fit various 1200-1600cc engine types. Choose the oil sump model designed for your application needs.
