* Minimize play: They stop the steering rack from shifting when you turn the wheel. This makes steering sharper and more responsive
* Absorb vibration: Bushings cushion the connection between the metal rack and the car frame
* Conversion options: Special offset kits from UniSteer Performance Products allow you to mount different generations of steering racks (such as swapping between a 1974-78 Mustang II and a 1979-93 Fox Body setup)
