Use variable-resistance ballast resistor SMP-RU-37 or SMP-RU4 (2-terminal) or SMP-RU12 (4-terminal). Be aware that ballast resistors having a fixed .5 ohm resistance will damage & shorten the service life of this or any other ignition coil due to the excessive primary current being supplied.
Summit Racing™ Restoration Plus Ignition Coils
Summit Racing™ restoration ignition coils are the best of both worlds, offering a gorgeous factory appearance with improved modern internals that deliver more punch than the originals. They can be used with OE point type or electronic ignition systems. Even in the restoration world, you can hot rod a little bit, because after all, internal modifications are invisible! These replacements are available for hundreds of vehicles from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Order the model recommended for your application.
