Summit Racing™ Restoration Torque Boxes

Summit Racing™ offers restoration torque boxes for a variety of applications, including many 1960/'70s era muscle cars, like Camaro, Firebird, Nova, Mustang, and Chevy II. These structural steel components are designed to repair or replace rusted and damaged factory unibody bracing. They're critical for restoring a vintage car's chassis rigidity, preventing unwanted body flex, and keeping the front and rear suspension securely mounted to the vehicle.

Key details and function:

* What They Do: Torque boxes triangulate and connect your frame rails, floor pans, and firewall. Over time, factory torque boxes (especially on unibody vehicles) rust out or tear from the stress of launches and rough roads. Replacing them stops the frame from twisting.
* Application: These are vehicle-specific replacement parts for many classic vehicles
* Materials and install: Constructed from heavy-gauge, stamped steel with a protective EDP (Electro Deposit Primer) coating to resist corrosion. Installing them typically requires cutting, trimming, and welding the metal directly to the chassis.
