Special Attention:
Fits with automatic and late 5-speed manual transmission applications. It will not fit 3 or 4-speed manual transmissions. 2-bolt mounting. This starter has a 3/4 in. offset and replaces OEM starters with a 'nose' that extends 2-3/8 in. past the mounting surface.
Summit Racing™ Full Size High-Torque Starters
Our full size high-torque starters give you 25 percent more torque than your OE starter. On the inside, we gave them specially wound copper field coils, heat-resistant solenoids, low-carbon brushes, and thick-barred armatures for fail-free performance under high-temperature conditions. The rotating assemblies spin on heat-treated shafts that ride in Bendix bearings for reliability and long life. These starters fit all Chevys with a 168-tooth ring gear and a staggered bolt pattern.
