Sonnax Throttle Valve Plunger Kits

Sonnax throttle valve plunger kits address the poor line rise or no detent downshifts that can be common complaints in vehicles with a stock overdrive transmission. The steel plunger continuously reciprocates within the aluminum sleeve, wearing out the sleeve. This wear (plus the weak OE spring) allows throttle valve feed oil to leak past the plunger and exhaust, resulting in the aforementioned issues that can lead to 3-4 clutch failure.
