When your cam "walks" in the block, it grinds the cam gear against the machined surface. These Summit Racing™ block protector kits prevents cam walking, and can even free up a little horsepower by reducing friction. These kits include a premium Torrington bearing assembly. Some kits are available with thrust plate, and mounting bolts.
