SpeedFactory Racing Aluminum Tucked Radiators
SpeedFactory Racing aluminum tucked radiators are high performance cooling units designed for Honda® and Acura® vehicles. They clear up precious engine bay space by tucking neatly into the core support while utilizing a dual-pass, dual-row core to significantly improve cooling efficiency.
Additional details:
* Space-saving design: The "tucked" profile moves the radiator into the front core support, freeing up room for turbochargers, custom piping, and wire tucks
* Superior cooling: It features a 100 percent aluminum, dual-pass, dual-core crossflow design that is proven to reduce coolant temperatures by 20-30 degrees F compared to OEM units
* Premium construction: The tanks are CAD-designed from H-3 5052 aluminum, professionally TIG-welded, and pressure-tested for reliability
* Included components: Each unit comes fully assembled with a 1-piece aluminum fan shroud (with a CNC-engraved logo) and dual high performance SPAL cooling fans
* Configurations and specs:
-- Fittings: Available with standard 32mm billet hose ends or -16 AN male fittings for customized plumbing
-- Dimensions: Overall dimensions are typically 24 in. wide x 9.5 in. tall x 5.5 in. thick (including fans and shroud)
-- Drain port: Includes a -6 AN ORB (O-ring Boss) drain fitting for easy servicing
-- Engine compatibility: Engineered to fit various platforms running Honda®/Acura® B, D, H, F, K, and J-series engines
* Installation details:
-- Mounting: The radiator features 3/16 in. thick aluminum mounting tabs. The tabs do not come pre-drilled, allowing you to drill and customize the mounting location to fit your specific build
-- Modifications: Drilling—and in some applications, cutting the radiator support—is necessary for proper installation
-- Rubber mounting: SpeedFactory advises that the radiator must be rubber mounted to allow it to shift independently of the vehicle. Solid mounting can cause vibration, stress, and racking that will eventually lead to leaks
