Spicer Drivetrain Products Spicer Life Series U-joints are heavy-duty, high performance universal joints manufactured by Dana Spicer. Designed to handle high-torque demands in light trucks, commercial vehicles, and off-road 4x4s, they feature cold-forged steel crosses, multi-lip seals to block contaminants, and thrust washers that lower operating temperatures.
Key design features:
* Solid cold-formed cross: Eliminates traditional internal grease channels that can act as weak points, maximizing overall body strength
* Multi-lip seals: Keeps specialized synthetic grease securely inside while barring water, mud, and dirt
* Thrust washers: Prevents damaging metal-to-metal contact at the ends of the cross, reducing friction and heat
* Maintenance options: Available in both greaseable styles and non-greaseable "lubed-for-life" configurations
