Answer This Question

Q:

What's the overall length all the way in and all the way out?

Asked by ROBERT on September 09, 2018

A:

This part comes in two pieces and the lock nut. The all the way out question depends on how much minimum the male threaded part is threaded into the female threaded part. The male threaded part is two and a half inches from center of hole to the end of the threads. The female threaded part is four and three quarters inch long. Both pieces fully threaded together gives a length of five and three quarter inches from hole center to rounded tip. Then add to that the one quarter inch width of the supplied lock nut which would give you six inches all the way in.

Q:

The description for this push rod says the "Standard" push rod length range is from 6.75" to 7.5". Is this the range for the RC14? Is there one that goes down to 5.5" in length?

Asked by JASON on July 03, 2017

A:

Not that I know of you might want to check to make sure that it was play storm properly and at the brake booster is the right one

Strong, easily adjustable.

I used this on my '57 Ford which I converted to a modern master cylinder. It's a little thicker than the original, but lined up perfectly and since it's adjustable, I was able to set the length to the perfect size I needed.

I converted my 1965 Barracuda to disc brakes, the original rod was too short. I purchased an adjustable one from Summit. I adjusted it so that it was a little longer than the original. It works like a charm.
