Racepak V-Net Event Marker Modules

Racepak V-Net event marker modules are specialized data acquisition devices used to record the exact moment specific electrical events occur in a vehicle. They're primarily used in motorsports to track actions like the release of a powered button, brake activation, or line-lock engagement.

How They Work:

* Event Tracking: The module detects a 12 V signal change (such as pressing or releasing a switch) and records this time-stamped event in your data logger
* V-Net Technology: Racepak's V-Net is a smart-data system that allows multiple sensors and modules to transmit signals through a single, continuous cable. The event marker module acts like a mini-computer that tags this electrical trigger so it corresponds exactly with your other vehicle metrics
* Data Correlation: By overlaying these marked events in data analysis software, racers can directly see how driver inputs (i.e., hitting a transbrake or nitrous button) affect engine performance, acceleration, and G-forces

Key features and requirements:

* Standard Event vs. Switch Contact: The standard 12 V module monitors the release or activation of power.
* Ease of Use: Because it runs on the V-Net chain, you can simply plug the module into any existing junction in your main V-Net cable without needing to route an entirely new wire to the data recorder
* Software Integration: Once plugged in, your Racepak DataLink software automatically reads and configures the new channel to display the exact time the event happened
