Chromoly is often used in applications when high-strength is needed, as it is considerably higher tensile strength than mild steel. This is the same premium quality tubing that Rhodes Race Cars use on all of their in-house-built cars and components. Product Overview:

* Premium quality round Chromoly tubing (4130 alloy heat-treated to condition N (Normalized)
* Meets or exceeds the MIL T 6736 B spec and is often referred to by several different names: chromoly, chrome alloy, Promoly or simply 4130 tube
* Available in various diameters in pre-cut lengths
* Tubing is also available in full lengths which vary from 17-24 feet (full lengths of tubing will ship via truck freight)
* Tube pricing is by the foot
* Welding should always be performed by a qualified welder

Note: Tubing is nonreturnable and nonrefundable. Due to the increasing dimensional penalties (increased costs) with all shipping carriers, the 48 in. long pieces have reasonable transportation costs, and 90 in. pieces are still under the limit for UPS oversized package penalties.
