These heavy-duty mounts help you avoid the problems of trying to bolt that new monster tire and wheel combo on your factory spare tire mount. Rugged Ridge HD tire carriers are constructed from heavy 1/4 in. steel plate and mount to the tailgate, 2 in. up and out from your old mount, for more tire clearance--up to a maximum tire size of 35 in.
