Quicksilver Marine Drain Screw Gaskets

Quicksilver offers marine drain screw gaskets for a variety of applications, including select Mercury and Mercruiser outdrive options. These small sealing washers are used on boat lower unit drain and fill screws. They stop gear oil from leaking out and keep harmful water from getting inside the gearcase. Order the gasket(s) recommended for your watercraft.

* Purpose and function:
-- Water Prevention: Blocks water from entering the lower unit, which protects expensive internal gears from rust and damage
-- Fluid Retention: Keeps the gear lube securely sealed inside the gearcase during operation
-- Single-Use Design: Meant to be replaced with a fresh gasket every single time you change your boat's lower unit gear oil

* Compatibility and use:
-- Standard Fit: Fits the 3/8 in.-16 drain and fill screws used on all MerCruiser sterndrives and most Mercury/Mariner outboards
-- Exceptions: Does not fit Verado models or outboards of Japanese origin (which use different metric sizes like the Quicksilver 8M0083059 or Yamaha-specific replacements)
