Overview
PRW Rocker Arm Shaft Spacers
PRW rocker arm shaft spacers (and shims) are precision-machined valvetrain components used with shaft-mount rocker arm systems to adjust stand height, align the rocker roller tip centrally on the valve stem, and establish correct lifter preload or valve geometry. These steel spacers are available in multiple thicknesses. They're available for a variety of applications, including select Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth Mopar engines from the 1960s, '70s, '80s, and '90s.
Additional details:
* Geometry alignment: Spacers ensure the rocker pad or roller tip stays properly centered on the valve stem across various engine block and cylinder head combinations
* Height adjustment: They allow engine builders to tweak the installed height of the rocker shaft stands (using specific baseline measurements) to correct pushrod length discrepancies and achieve precise lifter pre-load/valve lash
* Construction: Engineered to maintain high rigidity under high-RPM valve spring loads
