Sometimes referred to as a 2-step or launch controller, this unit provides an adjustable RPM limiter to control launch rpm off the line, while also offering timing-delay capability for power-adder applications. In turbocharged combinations, these controllers can delay ignition timing to help build boost on the line. Notes:

These controllers are commonly referred to as 2-step controllers, but they are not true 2-step units. They feature one rpm limit setting only; the vehicle's factory ECM/PCM must still control maximum engine rpm.
The rpm limiter works by disabling spark, not fuel, making it race-track only equipment (not for street use or vehicles equipped with catalytic converters).
Prolonged operation with the rpm limit active is not recommended due to the presence of raw fuel in the exhaust, which can lead to backfiring and possible catalyst damage.
