Chevrolet Performance Connect and Cruise E-Rod LS3 Engine and Transmission Packages

Chevrolet Performance engineers did all the hard work, designing and calibrating carefully matched Connect and Cruise powertrain systems for optimal compatibility and performance—while also identifying the complementing engine and transmission controllers, torque converters, and supporting installation kits. The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation—and, more importantly—operation without the need for third-party tuning.

As the standard engine in the fifth-generation Camaro SS and C6 Corvette, the high-revving, deep-breathing LS3 6.2L is poised to go down in history as one of Chevrolet's best and most versatile engines. The LS3 is loaded with components designed for high performance and longevity. The aluminum block is filled with a sturdy reciprocating assembly that combines with L92-type rectangular-port heads to deliver a 10.7:1 compression ratio.

Automatic transmission details:

The Hydra-Matic 4L65-E remanufactured automatic transmission is a 4-speed unit featuring 5-pinion gearsets, heat-treated stator shaft splines, induction-hardened turbine shaft, and 7-plate 3.4 clutch. This tranny is lockup compatible; includes a stock-style aluminum pan; slip-on yoke; hardened steel 30-spline input shaft; 3.06 first gear ratio; OEM-style aluminum case; and is rated to 430 lbs.-ft.

Manual transmission details:

Chevrolet Performance T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions offer the most in combined strength, versatility, and control. Plus, they're able to withstand an unbelievable torque capacity—700 lbs.-ft.—while providing crisp shifts! These beefed-up versions of the TR6060 will certainly fill your craving for high performance with larger components. Chevrolet Performance T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions combine greater strength with precision engineering to feed the passions of cruisers and track racers alike.
