The fifth generation of the iconic Chevy small block, the 6.2L LT1 pairs a technologically advanced 460 hp and 465 lbs.-ft of torque engine … to either a 4L70-E 4-speed automatic, 8L90-E 8-speed automatic, or a T56 Super Magnum 6-speed manual transmission.

Chevrolet Performance LT1 6.2L E-Rod long block crate engines have it all. They're architecturally similar to the LS family of small block engines, but with a unique block casting, cylinder head design, oiling system, and more. LT1 6.2L E-Rod engines also combine advanced technologies—including direct-injection and continuously variable valve timing to support an advanced combustion system.

Chevrolet Performance has adapted the production-based 8L90-E 8-speed automatic transmission for use with the LT1 and LT4 crate engines. A numerically high 4.56 first gear ratio offers strong take-off performance, while a wide 7.0:1 overall ratio helps optimize cruising efficiency. The slip-yoke design version is designed for use with the LT1 engine.

Model T-56 manual transmission option:

Chevrolet Performance T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions offer the most in combined strength, versatility, and control. Plus, they're able to withstand an unbelievable torque capacity—700 lbs.-ft.—while providing crisp shifts! These beefed-up versions of the TR6060 will certainly fill your craving for high performance with larger components. The T-56 combines greater strength with precision engineering to feed the passions of cruisers and track racers alike.
