Chevrolet Performance Connect and Cruise ZZ427 Engine and Transmission Packages

Chevrolet Performance engineers did all the hard work, designing and calibrating carefully matched Connect and Cruise powertrain systems for optimal compatibility and performance—while also identifying the complementing engine and transmission controllers, torque converters and supporting installation kits. The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation—and, more importantly—operation without the need for third-party tuning.

Connect and Cruise ZZ427 Engine and Transmission package details:

Chevrolet Performance has recreated the classic L88 Big Block combination in the ZZ427/480 long block crate engine. Rated at 480 hp, it features an iron block, forged steel crankshaft, and high-flow aluminum cylinder heads. An upgraded hydraulic roller camshaft improves drivability and rpm range, while lower 10.1:1 compression means you can enjoy the power on pump gas, too.

The ZZ427 comes complete with: high-flow oval port heads, a high-lift camshaft, aluminum intake manifold, 770cfm Holley carburetor, an HEI distributor, aluminum water pump, balancer, spark plug wires, and a 14 in. flexplate. If you're looking for a modern version of the classic L88, the Chevrolet Performance ZZ427/480 long block crate engine is the answer.

* Four-speed automatic, featuring 5-pinion gearsets, heat-treated stator shaft splines, induction hardened turbine shaft, 7-plate clutch, and specific valve-body calibration.

Chevrolet Performance T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions offer the most in combined strength, versatility, and control. Plus, they're able to withstand an unbelievable torque capacity—700 lbs.-ft.—while providing crisp shifts! These beefed-up versions of the TR6060 will certainly fill your craving for high performance with larger components. Chevrolet Performance T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions combine greater strength with precision engineering to feed the passions of cruisers and track racers alike. Specs include:

* Designed for custom, retrofit installations of Chevrolet Performance LS crate engines
* Exterior case similar to fourth-generation F-body with stronger, high-capacity gear sets, input shaft and output shaft used in the TR6060
