Chevrolet Performance Connect and Cruise Anniversary Edition 427 Engine and Transmission Packages

Chevrolet Performance engineers did all the hard work, designing and calibrating carefully matched Connect and Cruise powertrain systems for optimal compatibility and performance—while also identifying the complementing engine and transmission controllers, torque converters and supporting installation kits. The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation—and, more importantly—operation without the need for third-party tuning.

Chevrolet Performance Anniversary Edition all-aluminum ZL1 427 c.i.d. crate engines start with the ZL1 aluminum block, using the tooling that helped to create this legend in 1969. The block offers a full-strength structure, thick deck surfaces, and 4-bolt mains. Building on that foundation, the short block contains a forged steel crank, forged steel rods, and forged aluminum pistons for a 10.1:1 final compression ratio. Aluminum oval port heads and matching high-flow aluminum oval port intakes are paired with an 870 cfm carburetor. The camshaft is a hydraulic roller with a valve lift of .510 in. on the intake and .540 in. on the exhaust. They even added 1.7:1 aluminum roller rockers. Like the original ZL1, the Anniversary 427s come grossly underrated at 430 hp. Included with the Chevrolet Performance Anniversary Edition all-aluminum ZL1 427 c.i.d. crate engines are a special owner's kit that includes official Anniversary 427 emblems to place on your car, as well as an engine data plaque and certificate of authenticity that share a matching serial number with the valve covers.

Plus, they're able to withstand an unbelievable torque capacity—700 lbs.-ft.—while providing crisp shifts! These beefed-up versions of the TR6060 will certainly fill your craving for high performance with larger components. T-56 Super Magnum 6-speed transmissions combine greater strength with precision engineering to feed the passions of cruisers and track racers alike. Specs include:
