Milwaukee tap and die sets include precision-machined threading accessories and the most versatile Hex-LOK 2-in-1 handle for the most common applications. These sets feature straight-flute taps and 1 in. hex dies with long-lasting laser-etched sizing and a protective black oxide coating for corrosion resistance. The Hex-LOK 2-in-1 handle combines the benefit of both internal and external threading within one handle by its compatibility with both 1 in. hex dies and the Milwaukee tap collet. The handle's ergonomic grip is designed to deliver ultimate user comfort while cutting threads. All-metal construction allows for tool-free die and tap collet changes and it's optimized for maximum balance and control when threading. The plug taps' square shank is compatible with all standard tap handles or tap wrenches and is designed for through-hole threading. The dies' 1 in. hex shape is compatible with the Hex-LOK 2-in-1 handle, as well as all standard 1 in. hex die stocks. Each set includes accompanying drill bits for pilot drilling and is designed for use with drill drivers. Milwaukee taps and dies are designed for cutting threads in the most common metal applications including brass, aluminum, mild steel, and more. For best results, use with cutting fluid. The sets are available in a variety of sizes and piece counts, SAE or metric.
