Motorcraft Engine Cooling System Iron Cleaner

Motorcraft VC-9 Engine Cooling System Iron Cleaner is a 1-quart, Ford-recommended chemical flush designed to remove iron rust, scale, and deposits from cooling systems. It helps prevent oil cooler failures, particularly in 6.0L Powerstroke engines, by cleaning contaminants and passivating iron surfaces to reduce future corrosion.

* Effectively dissolves rust and disperses sludge to restore cooling efficiency
* Commonly used to clean cooling systems, often as part of a major flush; two quarts per service are sometimes recommended
* Contains cleaners and polymers that are non-aggressive to both ferrous and non-ferrous metals
* This cleaner is frequently used for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. Note that it should generally not be used to flush systems where the cylinder block is aluminum (use VC-1 in those cases)
