BluePrint Builder Series 427/540HP Standard Edition Carbureted Crate Engine and 700R4 Trans Combos

BluePrint Standard Edition Builder Series combos pair engine and transmission, eliminating guesswork, making it easier to gain the performance you desire. These combos match a carbureted GM small block-compatible 427 c.i.d. engine with a 700R4 automatic transmission enabling the production of 540 hp and 535 lb.-ft. of torque with a compression ratio of 10:1.

BluePrint high-strength cast iron engine block:
* 4.125 in. bore
* 4-bolt main
* One-piece rear main seal
* Drilled and tapped for clutch linkage
* Mechanical fuel pump provision
* Passenger side dipstick

Rotating assembly:
* BluePrint forged steel crankshaft
* Stroke: 4.000 in.
* Forged 6.00 in. connecting rods
* Forged pistons
* Internally balanced front and rear

BluePrint aluminum cylinder heads:
* 64cc chamber
* 2.08 in. intake/1.60 in. exhaust valves
* 220cc intake/67cc exhaust runners
* .500 raised port vs. OEM

Hydraulic roller camshaft:
* .577 in. intake/.577 in. exhaust valve lift
* 240 intake/248 exhaust duration at .050 in. of lift
* 112 degrees lobe separation angle (LSA)

Ignition timing:
* Initial timing 10 to 16 degrees, total timing 32 to 34 degrees

700R4 automatic transmission package:
* 2,200 to 2,400 stall torque converter
