Designed for use with MEL-10294, MEL-10295 and MEL-10296 oil pumps. This spring is designed to be an equivalent to the spring and shim used in GM oil pump 19301144 for the COPO Camaro. Use with caution in other applications.
Melling High-Pressure Oil Pump Springs
A higher pressure bypass spring in an oil pump forces more oil through the engine, while a lower pressure spring allows for more oil to be recycled within the pump. These Melling high-pressure oil pump springs allow you to replace your stock standard pressure spring with a higher pressure spring to keep your oil pump functioning at its optimum best.
