Notes:
This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 in. diameter alternator pulley and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. If you do not use the correct shorter belt, this will result in very low to no output and create extra work load for the alternator. Not recommended for racing or sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed.
Special Attention:
4-pin oval plug. Not recommended for use above 5,000 RPM engine speed.
MechMan High-Output Alternators
MechMan offers high-output alternators in a variety of styles, including 240 amp, 320 amp, and 370 amp versions. They can provide a 50 percent increase in amperage output vs. the stock originals. These robust alternators feature pure copper oversize diode rectifiers for outstanding durability. Higher output alternators provide more electrical support for aftermarket accessories such as light bars, winches, fridges, air compressors, inverters, large stereos, and more! Models are available for replacement or upgrade on many car, truck, van, and Jeep applications.
