Knipex cable shears with twin cutting edges provide a comfortable handle position throughout their cutting capacity. Designed for cutting copper and aluminum cables (they are not suitable for steel or hard-drawn copper conductors), these tools feature precision-ground, hardened blades for clean and smooth cuts without crushing or deformation. Made from high-grade, forged, and oil-hardened special tool steel, the cable shears are self-locking with an adjustable, bolted joint and a pinch guard that protects against finger pinches.

By dividing the cutting actions into an initial cut (insulating sheath in the front cutting area) and a final cut (conductor in the back cutting area), cables up to 25/32 in. diameter can be cut one-handed.
