Klotz Synthetic Racing Estorlin Lubricant

Klotz Synthetic Racing Estorlin lubricant is a high-performance lubricant designed for motorsports engines. Its formulation contains multiple antioxidants to mitigate oxidation and oil thickening, even under extremely high oil temperatures. Multiple surface-active anti-wear additives protect hardware from wear. Powerful dispersants and detergents maintain engine cleanliness and prevent high-temperature deposits such as varnish. A cocktail of friction modifying chemistry lowers oil temperatures and further mitigates wear. Shear-stable polymers and base oils allow the lubricant to maintain its performance and viscosity under extended periods of severe operation or elevated fuel dilution levels.

Many racing oils use ZDDP (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate) as their primary anti-wear additive. ZDDP is very effective at mitigating wear on hardware such as flat tappet camshafts. However, ZDDP is based on old technology that was originally developed in the 1940s and has limitations in modern racing applications.

Klotz Pure Estorlin Racing engine oils, including KE-955, use a mixture of different anti-wear additives. ZDDP is only one of the four technologies in this chemical cocktail. The second technology is based on molybdenum, which reduces both wear and friction. The third and fourth technologies are proprietary additives that Klotz has refined over the past twenty years. The formulation's four antiwear technologies reduce both wear and friction between sliding surfaces inside the motor, and they do it under a wide range of operating temperatures and RPM's.

These products come in a wide range of viscosity grades to suit various circle track, drag racing, sports car racing, and hot rod applications.

Klotz Pure Estorlin Racing is designed for dedicated racecars and is not intended for on-highway use. This product is not compatible with emissions systems.
