Pipercross Performance Air Intake Kits

Pipercross Performance air intake kits are available for a variety of applications, including many BMW, Mini Cooper, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda®, Ford, and Mercedes-Benz cars from 2005 and up. These aftermarket systems are designed to replace a vehicle's restrictive factory airbox to increase engine airflow and improve performance. By using specialized multi-density foam, these kits allow the engine to draw in more dense, cold air while effectively filtering out harmful dirt and debris.

-- How they work and their benefits: The factory air intake system on most cars is designed to be quiet and cheap to mass-produce, which limits how much air can get to the engine. A Pipercross kit fixes this by upgrading two main parts:

* The Filter: Instead of standard pleated paper, Pipercross uses a multi-layered polyurethane foam. Imagine a sponge with varying pore sizes; the outer layers catch large dirt particles while the inner layers trap smaller dust, all while allowing air to flow freely.
* The Intake Pipe (or "Hard Pipe"): Factory plastic pipes often have rough turns or narrow spots. Pipercross kits usually include smooth, mandrel-bent aluminum or carbon fiber pipes. This design removes airflow bottlenecks, resulting in smoother and faster air delivery to the turbocharger or engine.

* AirMax/Viper Kits: Premium enclosed systems (often made of carbon fiber) that force ambient cold air straight into the filter, providing a highly dense and consistent airflow
